Do you know of any part numbers stamped on it? I think I have none but I cannot be certain.

Well I dug a pile out this afternoon. These are a few, there are more but this was the only group with a orange handle.

The problem is the one with the orange handle has a busted handle and the numbers do not match2.JPG3.JPG4.JPG

it doesn’t need to have an orange handle, just needs to properly fit and be complete with a working chain brake. I tried a new aftermarket and they don’t fit my saw properly.

The problem is I have no way of making sure it fits your saw. The only Husky saws I have are 335's 338's, 272, 372, 298, and 395. I have a pile of used Husky parts but I have no idea what they fit. I can dig out some with teh gray handles but I am betting even if they would fit the part number will be different. It would be nice if something knew what stamped part numbers fit your saw.

I think anything with the circled part would fit for sure, and many others would also likely

I have a husky parts ID thread where I have several pictures that I cannot identify.

Yeah, I’m not sure, would be nice if there was a site that cataloged the various saws over time. I do know if I Google images (duck duck go) “early Husqvarna 50” I get lots of images of orange handled 50s

This what your after?

5017646-01 shows up in the two 1983 Model 50 IPL's.
5017646-02 shows up in the 1985 - 1988 Model 50 IPL's

The two use very different band setups but I expect they are functionally equivalent and both should work.
