Finally able to finish a slab!! Spalted American beech. Milled last year. It’s funny because most people see you milling and want a table within a month. No concept of drying. You cant plant a vineyard and have wine in a week!

Nice. I have dozens of slabs that are still drying. I can’t wait to start finishing some of them.
Patience Unc, it's worth it! I have a kitchen countertop of black oak that's 2 1/4 inches thick, been waiting since Spring of 2020. Maybe I'll get it done this winter.
 
Waiting is the hardest part!!! I think I’ve researched all avenues of how to work with green lumber-no go. Aside from a kiln, gotta wait. So worth it though
