I LOVE my fiskars 36” super split. This one particularly. LOVE IT!

But the maul...... i think it splits well but what in the heck are they thinking putting rubber on the handle of a splitting axe??

It drives me nuts. Doing the traditional “slide you hand” down the handle when swinging the axe you inherently are going to slide your hand down into the rubber portion of the handle therefore making an excellent opportunity for blisters.

I know plenty of guys love this thing. As i said, it splits great. But i cant “handle” this handle[emoji1787]

Im about to get a different maul.

I haven't used mine enough to notice that. I can't stand that unwieldly, off balance head.

I have a few old maul heads that need cleaned up and re-hung. Guess it’s time eh?

Check out the Granfors Bruk small splitting ax.
Worth every penny and a pleasure to use.
No BS.

Got the mushroomed edges, rust and sharp spots cleaned up. Fixed up the spilttting edge. Just needs a sand blasting and paint.... or jist leave it as is and keep it wiped with oil.

This will work well i think

That is definitely the most well used Isocore I have seen.

Good point on the rubber handle. I suppose you could put some less grippy tape on it?

If you are referring to the Isocore splitting maul, I fully agree. I found a Collins sledge hammer with a bigger round head one side and a regular sledge head on the other. IN BALLANCE!!! I love it. Gave a buddy my Isocore.
