March 8th, 2018 He will be undergoing diaphragmatic hernia repair at St.Peters Hospital to remedy a 10cm hole in his diaphragm. This hernia has caused multiple health issues including internal bleeding which has lead to extreme anemia where he has to receive blood transfusions.
He will be hospitalized for up to 6 days and out on bed rest for up to 6 weeks.
His wife, Shauna, will be staying with him during this procedure. Anything to help offset the costs of lost time and hotel expenses is more than greatly appreciated.

Well you have to consider that half the people here wouldn't know what a lot of the prizes are or what they are used for - it's a different crowd. That said, I will be showing my support next week after I get paid. And who knows, maybe I will win something cool!

Sucks to be out for 6 weeks.
I was supposed to get a pain simulator put in my back to help deal with the back pain.

I ended up cancelling the operation after I found out recovery is 2 weeks for the trial and then another 6+ weeks for the permanent one.... like can't lift, bend, etc for 8 weeks according to the doc.
Who can afford to not work for that long?!... both $$ wise as well as not going crazy from doing nothing! I was out for about 5 weeks 2 years ago (almost died from a lung infection). Good thing it happened during breakup when we are not in the woods and firewood is pretty slow. Even still it made things a mess.
