First book I ordered is "Urban Forests" by Jill Jonnes.
Very good book so far. It's basically a history book going back to the first major clear-cutting of the old forests in America. She introduces new people chronologically and the organizations and agencies they were affiliated with. Talked about the origin of the American Chestnut demise.
Half way through it.

Ordered a couple last week, waiting on delivery

I got a great deal on this one :p seller had it listed last week for $49.99. I had it in my cart, hoping they would offer a discount, they didn't. But - it was just relisted @ $29.99, with the "make an offer" option. I offered $19. Accepted! :dancing:Free shipping, too.

couple of suggestions
for a good deal on books - primarily used - try ABEbooks - short for all about everything books
also for a specific book try Dirr's Hardy Trees and Shrubs which calls itself an illustrated encyclopedia and is considered the gospel by many naturalist types
