maowwg , what saw are you running this 3/8 low profile chain on and how thick are your robust chips ?

good chips make ir razor sharp make sure rakers are not to high

Problem with RAZOR SHARP is that equals DULLS FAST IS too acute an angle on cutter; e.g. milling, bench grinder angle NOT AS SHARP AS HAND FILE, but can cut/ stay sharp much longer. I.e. THAT is WHY, as example the smaller file NOT used on all chains, just the LP chain. Also why more acute maybe great in softwood, but less acute better in hardwood. Hope this helps

It looks like you been leaning on the saw, no need to if its sharp. If it dulls fast it could be dirty bark which is often the case a lot overlook. Cutter lost its temper through grinding and getting hot and will never hold a sharp edge. Every day we learn a little more, never give up
