Cliff, those bars on the newer models look brand new. Can they still be purchased in the US ?

PS. really like the Pioneer 600, cool saw.

Thanks, Yes there new ones. You can still get them new.

Thanks for taking the time to post this up Cliff .:yourock: I figured that was you behind that avator. You must have the biggest collection of bow saws around.

I am not much on old saws anymore but if one comes along with a bow on it I grab it .

Bow saws are fun to collect and play around with when cutting wood.

Larry

Thanks, Thats what im trying for to have a large collection off
Bow saws.:)
Your saws are in great shape! How many do you have at present? I am partial to Pioneer saw's so I would have to agree with Belgian ,very nice!Do you have anymore Pioneers with a bow bar on them?
Lawrence
Thanks. I have over 250 saws, Abot 50 or more Bow saws.
I have 15 bow bars that I need to find saws for.
I have 4 pioneer saws but only this 600 has a bow bar.

I like the idea of the handle on the gaurd of the 1-86 McCulloch, seems to me that holding it there with your left hand and your right on the throttle handle would prevent some kickback situations. But then again I have never run a bow saw.

Yes it would give good controll over the saw.

The 1-86 is a sweet looking machine, and if it runs like my 1-85 not only will cut wood but makes the sweetest music as well.

That Poulan is also a thing of beauty, what a wonderful piece to have in your collection.

Thanks, I still have to get to this saw and start it up. Allways something
els to do.
Whats the source for new bow bars.
Theres a guy on Ebay selling new bow bars for newer saws.

It sure looks like it could run, that is for sure. No spike on that one??

That is one very nice looking saw.

Larry

Does it run?
Yes it runs.

It did not have a spike when I got it. Most all the of the bow bars have
two holes to mount the spike and this has only one. If it had a spike at
one time it would be different type.
Thanks Larry.

Beauty of a Lombard saw, It looks brand new.

Thanks, SS.
