Homelite c5 questions?

I have found a Homelite C6 for sale locally.
Anyone know if parts are still available?
Anyone here have and or use one?
If so do you like it?
The starter rope is hanging out so the recoil will need fixed at the very least.
From what I have read it is a 77 cc saw which sounds pretty stout yet all of them I have seen have fairly short bars.
Do they not make much power for some reason or is it just a mater of people preferring shorter bars?
I tried to register over at House of Homelite but their registration system is broken.

Welcome to AS. Not much for parts available for them except used. I have one but it is just a shelf queen. Runs good. Not a saw I would run all day. Go to the stickie section at the top of the chainsaw section. There is a homelite thread there that you can get more info.

C5 or C6? There are very similar models - C5, C51 C7, C71, C9, C91. Many parts other than P&C are the same. Parts sometimes come up on ebay. Are you looking for any parts in particular?

I figured aa much. Like I said check out the Homelite stickie. Good info there from guys that know their shtuff.
