Here’s a good one! That I almost ruined. Some history on it. I got it with a bunch of saws from an old timer who was retiring from his small engine business. Great guy. This saw was brought in for service by a doctor in 1987. (Service tag was still on it) Had a broken clutch, I guess he bought a new one or hired a guy since he never had it repaired. I found a clutch, and the saw runs great. These SEZ saws were very high compression run like it. I used it and after it cooled put it back in the case. I left it under the deck, I was using it the next day. It rained and the case had an inch of water in it. I was furious at myself. I drained it and ran it. Dodged a bullet it ran fine. Few months later I grab it and the rope won’t budge. ****, it wasn’t all dry. Today I dug in a bit. Rings weren’t rusty and it was just below the port. Recoil off and the flywheel turned. Recoil pulley was gummed. LuckyD1C9E0B8-A737-4F58-9ED5-BF41E8A54408.jpeg CC1516D6-5D67-4808-BDE5-F459AE917A12.jpeg F9193BC3-9A46-4602-AD7E-87CB77E211D8.jpeg

Is there already a Homelite thread? My dad has a little red and white one that maybe was straight gassed when borrowed...I don't think it's completely froze up but I haven't inspected.

Any fans? Can we get another brand specific thread moving???
Try a forum called House of Homelite

I was given a pretty nice 350 awhile ago that I finally got around to trouble shooting. It ended up needing a new carburetor boot and new fuel/impulse lines. It has spark, so I decided to try to rehab it.
The original boot in the 350 had a "flange" that covered the whole carb sealing surface (including the bolts). The new boot does not have the larger sealing surface (rev c version of the boot). Pictures below.

My question is do I need to add part number 29 and 30 from this parts diagram to get the carb to seal? This is a later parts diagram from a 360 and my 350 did not have those 2 parts originally.

Here are some general pictures. I don't believe it was used much.
