I am new here and I have bought three old homelite saws and am looking for some info on the compression of these saws. The late 60's blue xl-12 has just a shade off 150 lbs. The super has 150 and the xl-76 has 180 lbs which seems very high to me. I repair and restore old small engines like Tecumseh and Briggs and have THREE compression testers that all test within a couple of pounds of each other so they are right. Is this good compression for these saws? I appreciate any help from anyone with some more experience than me with old Homelite saws.
