Echo does not make a case that fits the CS 7310.

Husqvarna makes a large case that fits several of their saws including the Husqvarna 576 XP.

But it is too short and also too low in height to fit without making two holes and having the saw poke through on top and also by the handle.

The Husqvarna case is also too narrow but can be modified to fit in width; but not in height or legnth.

Has anyone here found a solution to this? Is simply not using a case the best option ?

Thank you for your help and for all the amazing information on this site.

Maybe the softer canvas bag type that are produced for saws would be more forgiving dimension wise, but you lose the hard side protection you may be seeking. Otherwise use a Rubbermaid container and cut the bar section to fit, then use a bar scabbard to protect bar and chain.

Thank you for the idea. However I like the stackability of a hard case. My saws always seem to eventually leak so the canvas would probably not work out for that. But thanks for bringing up the option.

I don't find the Echo 7310 to be bulky. The way the handle is close to the body of the saw and the narrow profile of the engine; make the saw feel nice to hold. Echo is a Japanese company. Think Honda, Yamaha, Toyota, Kawasaki, Lexus, Acura... Japanese manufacturers are no slouches when it comes to understanding ergonomics.
I havn't used a ton of diferent saws to compare, but I don't feel that this saw is bulky. It feels rather nice to me.

Must certainly be longer than my 372XPW with the half wrap handle, which fits nicely in my Powerbox.
Yes it must be longer... Looks like an inch or inch and a half longer. I guess the Powerbox was made specifcally for the 372 and other Husqvarna saws... The cutouts and divits on the inside of the box are probably just right for their own saws.

Try some of the Huskies or Jonsereds. They have ergonomics down. I haven't even seen a 7310, much less run one, but if it doesn't fit in the box that a 372 fits in in any direction then it is bulky for a 70cc saw. It may still feel fine. You only know what you know...

my Echo 590 feels fine. Then I run my 262xp or even a Stihl 362 and I remember what handling feels like. Even the "bulky" 362 is a better handling saw. But there's nothing really wrong with the 590..."it feels rather nice to me". I ran my 262xp a while back limbing and bucking a hairy spruce and a couple of even hairier pines. The Echo can't touch the Husky anywhere. Limbing especially is effortless flipping the 262 around. strangely, I still grab the Echo lots of the time. It has a different appeal that's hard to put a finger on.

i would probably buy the 7310 over the current stihl or husky simply to avoid the electronics.

That’s what I ended up doing, I looked at the 572 and 462 before going with the echo. It is a really nice handling saw with the new antivibe, way better than my CS 590. A little on the heavy side but its not too bad. I’ll try to get a picture next to my 372 later, they’re pretty close in size but the echo is just a bit taller and longer.

To the op, have you looked to see if they make hard cases for husky 395s? That might give you some extra space.

Good stuff.... Thanks for all the comments! That 372 has a fine reputation... That was the other saw I was considering...
372 is a bit more expensive but by the time you get extra bars and extra chains (and maybe a case) + tax; the grand totals are really close.

I returned the powerbox to Lowes today and I saw this .... Hmmm.
