Two of three hinges of my 026 case have broken off, the last one is barely hanging on (see photos). Stihl does not sell replacements. So I am looking for a work-around: drilling out the riveted latches and replacing them with ...what?
I am not ready to shell out $100+ for a new case, just because the hinge design was flawed.
Has anyone found a solution?

Are these the hinge or the latches?
Sorry, I was not clear: the "hinge" here is nothing but a thinned-out, therefore flexible section in the latch (shows up as light grey on the first picture) that, after activating it for a while just breaks off (right latch in second picture). This is a common "hinge" solution on primitive case or box openings. Saves money.

Check out southco living hinge. Also look carefully on the parts to see if there are any manufactures marks.
