Low hour saw. Ran perfectly since new...say, 5 gallons of 100%-correct running.

For the 6th gallon of mix, it starts and idles just as it should. But, upon starting it for the first time for the day, I need to feather the throttle...with it bogging...until I get it in wood. Once it is in that first cut, it cuts exactly like always.

And, starts and runs 100% for the whole rest of the day. After refuelling, or after a 30 minute break...no bogging.

Before I open it up, and start to troubleshoot, I thought I'd post. It seems my symptoms are unusual, and someone might suggest where best to start.

I want to stress, except for the first minute...the saw is unchanged since new.

Thanks,

Roy

Filter is fairly new. Muffler flows as it should.

BTW, saw was made in 2007 and has never sat with fuel in it. Always non-alcohol gas with Husky XP.

OK. Final report of my problem solved.

It needed more hi-screw gas.

I do not know if the dealer did anything to the limiters before I bought the saw. It was new, from an actual saw shop. The saw, as delivered to me, was at L=2.75 and H=1.5.

All it needed to get the start-of-day bog out was H=2. And, the low is still at 2.75 turns.

Thanks to those who replied.
