I see some of the modern saddles have fall protection options with a top harness add-on.
I always climb simple old school DdRT and just do easy straight-forward work.
I use basic climbing gear that I picked up in a kit years ago, a Buckingham 1371 saddle.
The old saddle I use has no rear attachment for a fall protection chest harness.
Is adding something simple like a CMI chest harness or a Petzl Voltige a good idea for some extra safety?
I always cinch the saddle tight lest I mess up and go inverted.
