Bought this lockout back in January. Was in pretty bad shape. Frame looked like it was rolled off a cliff. Axle was bent and everything was pretty worn. I gave $200 for it and was having second thoughts about that once I got it home. I had read a little about these but had no idea what model it was as I was not familiar with the and there was no markings.

Got it home and decided to rip it apart. Had to make a new frame for it and decided to raise the height up on it. I lost the adjustable axle. It was too messed up. Put all new seals and hoses. I think I drained this down about 10 times chasing leaks and it was sucking air somewhere. Turned out it was the input seal on the hydraulic pump. Got that all fixed and walked out one morning to see my oil tank had split and drained all the oil on my driveway lol! Welded that up and we’re doing well. Also had to replace the cable pulley and all the springs. Luckily my garage door guy had someone custom make exact replacements. My wife was pissed because after I painted I drug all the parts in the living room to dry in front of the wood stove. Neighbor said he thought he was a redneck but never had a wood splitter in his living room lol!

And here is the final product. I have ran about 5 cord of wood through it. Works great. Every now and then it will not shift from high to low so I still have some fine tuning to do. Only things I did to the old kohler was clean the carb and fuel tank, put on a new filter and plug and I had to file the points and she fired right up! I want to weld fork tubes on bottom of the frame so I can move it around with my skid steer.

Nice Job. Phones- auto correct = wrong. Myself and the phone do not agree with each other most of the time.
