I'm fixing up a McCulloch pm700 and it's missing the oil cap. Also the fuel cap is cracked. Do other Macs share the same caps or does it have to come from a 10 series saw? I know the oil cap from my 1-52 doesn't fit.

I have seen nos caps are pretty expensive. So just need to know for shopping 10 series caps only? Pm 605, 610 don't fit?

Only 10 Series fuel caps will work, not the large frame saws, 600 Series, or any other McCulloch models will fit. I seem to remember that there were some Homelite fuel caps (XL??) that would interchange.
The oil cap from the larger saws will fit, but they are not vented and may not work properly through the whole tank of fuel. Some early 10 Series used the same caps as the large frame saws but they had a hole in the oil tank with a cotter pin stuck in it to act as a vent.

Many of the older 10 Series fuel caps can be repaired pretty easily with a new gasket and duck bill valve. Search a bit and you will find a lot of details on 10 Series fuel cap repairs.
