That IS cool! Though I think she has it the wrong way round lol
On those I think the sloped side is the sharp side, much like some of my carving tools, it makes the tool easier to balance when under pressure from a cut. Balance may not be the very proper term but the tool is less squirmy in my hand.
 
I've also noticed that BEFORE I take a piece of something apart for repairs I usually do a quick re-search for available replacement parts and their prices and this gives me a heads up if I'm dealing with a NLA something and or high priced parts and if I see price of gaskets or kit is expensive or rare and hard to find I'm more careful about trying to save the old gaskets for re-use or as a pattern for making new ones. (some carbs for example)
