It is yes. But im looking for.ideas to not have to hold.the choke button in at all. Press it in, have a way to keep it in without using your thumb to hold it the whole time.
Jam something somewhere so it's stiff and stays in??

I realise now how that sounds lol

Got a half dozen Macs here. eager beaver 3.7's, 2.0's, mimi mac 25's etc. use them along with the others. Love the mini 25 when I go up in the bucket truck,---10" bar and small package,--easy to handle and I dont have that 2 foot long bar on the others getting into where it not s'posed to be! lol!

Without knowing what the bigger macs look like, would something like this work?

I did a little testing yesterday for one of our young friends overseas.

PM850, 28" bar and chain, WOT unloaded...

SP81, 16" bar and chain, WOT unloaded...

I reset them both to just under 12,000 RPM. The PM850 gets used from time to time.

The SP81 only cuts a few cookies each year.

Speaking of a 700.... My neighbor needed a saw to finish a log. ( He ran out of gas and was afraid to use mine! - only funny because he constantly comes to me for advice on saws)
I gave him my older 700.
When he came back he says " thanks a lot!!!"
I asked what happened, puzzled because it's one of my best saws.
He said it was fine just fine. The problem is I don't like my saw anymore!!
