I recently purchased three McCulloch chainsaws and have since been scouring the internet for hours trying to find saws that look like two out of the three I purchased because the typical model number stickers are missing, however I've been unable to find identical pictures. The saws seem to be from the 10 series however minor differences between all of the saws I've seen in this series have generated doubt about any possible matches. Is there anything y'all can see that might help me out with this?

Here's the first saw

The first saw appears to be an early version of the 7-10 with the lever type compression release. 70cc saws and very good runners when they are in good shape.

The second one looks a lot like my 4-10 as it also has the mismatched fuel tank and air filter cover and the carburetor adjustment holes in the side of the air box even though the 4-10 only came with the bullfrog carburetor. It could also be a 1-10, 2-10, or 3-10 as all three of those models also has the low profile tops, I don't think you can put that air filter cover on a 10-10 model as the carburetor with spacer sticks up too high.

Try to get an approximate measurement of the bore through the exhaust ports, 1.75" is a 54 cc (1-, 2-, 3-10) and 2.0" would be a 4-10 / 70 cc model.

I hope you didn't pay too much as they both appear to have been ridden hard and put away wet.

Not a 4-10. The lower shroud has the depression on it. It would not fit over the larger fins of a 70cc cylinder (unless someone cut them down…).
