ms194T chain tensioner

I just got an MS194T this morning, and im having a weird thing happen with the chain tensioner thats never happened with any other saw ive used

basically, no matter how tight the chain is before I tighten the side cover down, it tightens more when that cover is tightened down, kinda annoying, im sure ill get used to it, just wondering if thats normal or not

Take the bar and chain off, and take some pics. Get a good 1 or 2 of the drive sprocket's teeth.

Can you get a pic of the chain and bar? I want to see if the bottom tangs on the chain look OK, and if the bar isn't spreading.

cant see much, but there is zero wear on the teeth, I checked across the clutch drum with a straight edge and everything seems square

almost worthless taking pics (terrible camera) but I just had a look at the bar and chain, everything is in exceptionally perfect order (as it should be, its barely had 1 tank through it)

IDK why its doing this, I can live with it, just not sure thats its normal

I want to see if the bottom drivers of the chain are damaged.

they are not damaged at all, only thing I can think of is a bent tensioner stud pulling tight as the bar is pushed down the length of it

I will have a look tomorrow and see if thats the case, till then its relax time lol

other than this one issue I love the saw
