Ok, so I took this saw apart years ago and finally getting around to putting it back together. It didn't have spark, so I replaced the coil with an aftermarket unit.

Any clue as to what wire goes where? Also, where does the kill switch wire attach?

I'm not normally this clueless, but I very rarely mess with Homelites.

Thanks

My best guess:

Capacitor lead goes to points post . White lead goes to ground. Black lead is coil winding goes to points post.

There should be a lead still on the saw kill switch that goes to points post.

Rotsa Ruck.....,,,,,,,,,,,

That's kind of what I was thinking, but I didn't recall 3 wires going to the points post.

Thanks for the input.

Here you go, you’re missing a kill wire. Everything goes to the points apart from one of the two ignition coil return wires which goes under the bolt to ground that holds the capacitor support (the other to the points then to the capacitor to absorbe the back emf)
