I've been subbing for a tree company for a couple years ago and am setting up to do some occasuonal side work that they do not offer. I'd like to get a simple website. I'm looking at GoDaddy and they seem like the process would be simple. I'm not an IT guy and I don't want to become one. Any thoughts on this route or suggestions for something better but still simple?

You need a hosting service. GoDaddy does that. I've used Bluehost for years.

You also need to create a website. You can sometimes do that through a host or you can do that elsewhere.

I've used WordPress. It is very easy.

I created my own website, knew nothing of keywords or anything technical. It did ok.

I later hired enter.net to create a website for us. They do a lot of tree company websites and have been at it since 1995. Original cost was around 3000 I think. Check it out. treemasterllc.com. They also did treecarela.com.

For us it was well worth the expense.
