Is it easy to replace it? I will try to find the part number for a new sprocket. Is it expensive? Thanks guys
I'd replace the drum, it looks kinda worn. If you do, get the oregon rim sprocket kit, it's better than the spur setup that the saw has now. I believe the oregon part number for that kit is 100961X.
The kit is probably $25 or so.

Will look into it. I may need to use the saw this weekend. What could happen if I keep using this old sprocket? Just curious. Thanks again
Whatever happened with the hard to turn chain. Mine (brand new) is doing the same thing! Turns freely by hand for four or five turns and then grabs at the sprocket.
