Here is some dogwood I cut a year ago. Is heavy and very hard to split. It is still not cured. This was from a tree I cut in my neighbors yard. I cut a groove in it with my chainsaw and was only then I could split with a wedge. I think I'll give it another year,lol.

Good firewood. Look at the btu charts. I think it's way up there.
