Stumbled across this (partial?) roll of Oregon chain in a box from my grandads chainsaw sharpening days. Thought it was 3/8. Its not. 3/8 Pico full chisel. I am just an absolute sl*t for some cheap 3/8 Pico. I kill multiple loops a year and love free Poulan saws to cannibalize for the bars and chains for my Echo CS-400 and CS-280E. I got excited, because if this was commercially available I'd buy some.

Turns out this is a rare, desirable chain for racing. Many of the threads on it per Google are either on other sites or have the pictures taken down because of photobucket or other defunct hosting sites. Let me know if anyone wants better pics/measurements shown. I don't think I'll use use it, would rather someone who does racing got it.

Ahh. I get it, finally. ONLY the tie straps are special lighter ones similar to Pico chain.
The drive links are BIG 3/8", the cutter is similar to .325. The chain will work on 3/8 saws. I was hoping it was a killer version of 3/8 Pico I could use for my trash panda 3/8 Pico saws... Or something I could sell to someone who could maximize its use.
This is what happens when you play with chainsaws with a migraine.

Would this work in place of skip chain on longer bars and underpowered saws? Like my 460 Rancher with a 24" and 576XP with a 36"? Or does the undersized chassis cause it to be too weak for that application?
