Howdy,
Decided to sell my Homelite Super XL-925.
I'm the second owner of the saw. It feels like great compression. Runs strong on a squirt of pre-mix... then stalls. Certainly going to need a carb kit, fuel filter, might as well do the fuel line, etc.
The chain is very strange. I've never seen a chain like this one. Be interesting to know the story behind this kind of chain style.
You'll see in the pics that right next to the spark plug, there appears to have been a decomp valve, and the fella brazed it shut for whatever reason.
Piston looks fantastic. There is a slight blemish on it. It's smooth to the touch. Maybe a bit of fine carbon trapped in around the wrist pin and polished the piston a bit.
