Ive been spoiled by stihl big covers these 372 pulling a long bar always get overwelmed.
Hoping this helps if it doesnt im only out time.

Also packing the trusty 28. Will be a fun day. 3 cords of fun

Nah...Evan did a little Dremel work on the clutch cover to widen up the exit for wood chips when running in softwoods.

FWIW, Husqvarna makes a "wide" clutch cover for the 372XP. Part Number HVP 537 33 10 01 (Not cheap -- $88 at Bailey's)

I have one that fits both my 390XP and 372XP. They are good when running a full-comp chain in softwood. If you ever have to rip with the grain, the noodles often will clog up the chip "exhaust port" and the wide clutch cover comes in handy.

Or you could buy the 572? wrap kit with the cover, a set of big dogs, a roller chain catcher, and a 572 wrap for ~$50.

Home and unloaded. Clutch cover mod Was a noticable improvement.
Saw ran great pulling the 32.
Also just sold the 084

I didnt know theres a big clutch cover. Yes noodles clog very bad in a Husky.

Ill look into the big cover.

I looked at a 572 today. Cover was unimpressive compared to stihl wide Cover. If its got more room its not by much. Though I see other advertised big covers that dont have the funky 572 look

I never measured it, but it’s maybe 1/8” wider. Not much
Way off, my sausage friend! I finally remembered to measure the gap on my OE XPW (w/gray wide cover) and my dad's plain OE (orange narrow cover). From the case half to the inside edge of the cover was 3/4" w/the plain cover, and it was 1 1/8" w/the wide cover. From the edge of the tank to the inside edge of the cover was 1 5/8" w/the plain cover, and it was 2 1/16" w/the wide cover. Both saws' tanks and case halves should be the same, the only difference is the covers.

Great info. I’m sure I’ve had the 390 WC cover on a saw in the shop but never paid much attention. I guess 3/8” should make a noticeable difference
