Hi, I have a poulan pro 260 chainsaw, and it just started to leak bar oil whenever i take off the oil cap, when i take off the cap oil starts pouring out of on of the oilers. any insight on what the problem might be? from what i read so far it is usually the opposite, oil leaks out when the cap is on due to the vents being bad. thanks for any insight.

Hello Engine Nut , welcome to ArboristSite .
My PP220 (same as your PP260 except for the decal) has a plastic vent tube inside the oil tank that can be pulled out of place by the oil cap retainer . It runs from the right side of the tank to the upper left corner inside the tank . If the tube gets pulled or bumped out of place it will drain the oil .
