Pro Mac 55 carb swap .

Hello everyone I hope someone can help I just recently aquiered a pro Mac 55 . With a single Jett adjustable walboro sdc on it . I would like swap it for a daul Jett carb would one from a 10-10 work ? Or are there other better options. Thanks for your time and help

Yes the SDC 65 is fully adjustable

Edit.. you need the 1 off the pm10-10 with the short angled needles. The ones with long needles will need the air box modified for external adjustment

Short strait needles will also fit but be a real PITA to adjust the needles, also the idle set screw placement is a concern.

The 65 is on the carb from memory but not sure if the 55 was external or not.

Really depends what ya got because being Mac they came in many variations. I've got 7-10s with all different combinations of adjustments

Thanks for the advice . I will begin my search for a sdc 65 with the short angled needles . If one has one they would part with please message me . In the mean time can someone give me advice as to how to tune the single needle carb . As I am not familiar with this carb thanks again .

You can only adjust the L jet for idle/off idle performance, the H is fixed and you may find it a bit rich if you are hoping for a screaming saw out of the cut. I have several McCulloch saws with the fixed H jet carburetors and all are great under load.
