Hello, I have been sharpening the rakers by eye for years. I would like a gauge now after many times of sharpening a single chain. Can someone tell me the best gauge to purchase for a 74 drive link .325 pitch, .063 gauge chain? I would say that I have been using sharpened chains with rakers very low from specs. thanks for any information that will help.

It depends on the wood you are cutting and the saw's power. I file mine more than others because I run ported saws and like to have one "grind" for everything because I never know what I'll be cutting and I might cut 4-6 different woods right next to each other.

you might run .015" or .050", depending on your saw and the wood and time of year.
