There was definitely a 116 WILDCAT model, nothing special and only slight differences from normal 116, 56cc with Walbro carb, shavey knows all the info on them, I think mostly a marketing ploy, but a proper one is quite rare and fetch good money, for those interested check on the other site and the dolmar/ makita brand specific and you will find info
 
Looks like the WILDCAT version might have been a European or UK only model, not marketed in the States or Canada?
Were there not already saws wearing WILDCAT decals in the Americas? That may have swayed SD's model distribution? Or maybe they did not want the saw confused with a WILDTHING?

Either way, I have never seen one here- but before they became Makitas- Dolmars were about as popular here as warts on a fanny.
