Looks like 5 or 6. I plan on posting pictures of trees to work on this week. I hope you can make it.
Think I will be attending after all. Those of you who are coming, have any input on which saws to bring? - which saws you'd like to try? I'm thinking along the lines of 2156/359/6100. 395 is down, 7900 is awesome but overkill as is the 3120. 2511 might be handy. 630 is for sale.

These are some pictures I took yesterday. Nothing too big in the first location. Small tan oaks leaning towards the road and powerline. A rope and proper cuts will take care of these easily.
Widowmaker here. I have an idea on how to put it on the ground safely but will defer to the more experienced in the group.
Open season here. Trouble is the hard to see power line
This is a beast of a doug fir. Fungus all around the roots and sap running diwn the trunk. The branches have the weight toward a house. We may not touch this one. I think a tree jack is required for this.
I have some more to look at today. I'll post more pictures.

The plan is to have breakfast Saturday and at 0800 we'll go through a safety briefing then head up the hill.
At 2 there is a docent led tour of the Redwood Loop at Henry Cowell SP. Today I'll go to the park to see what that entails. I want to see if it anything more than the audio tour you can download here https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=27184. By group concensus we can decide to break, stop or check it out Sunday morning.
A neighbor has volunteered to make us lunch on her deck Saturday. Sheila is a sweetheart and always volunteers on our road work days. She's the first there and the last to leave. She's hosting lunch right after returning from a visit to her home country of Scotland so she'll be jet lagged but doing this anyway
I'll set up a bonfire pit for us Saturday night. Neighbors said they'll bring dinner and a cooler of cold beer.
Sunday we can decide what you would like to do. We can look at more trees I'm the park, cut more trees in the neighborhood or just relax and talk saws. Again, group concensus.

Gonna try to get spark arresters in the 7900 today.
I have seen the redwoods so I'm good, but it's not to be missed if you haven't. I will have to blow out sunday AM.

Unfortunately, I can't get there (from my home in the Santa Lucia Mountain Range 10 miles east of San Simeon) to Santa Cruz this weekend. However, I'm wishing that you all have a safe and good time.

Neighbors have been dropping off food and beer all day. I'm prepping breakfast including some homemade sausage I made myself. Lunch is set abd dinner will be brought at the end of the day. Trees are flagged and I have plenty of 2 stroke gas and bar oil. 2Dogs came up today to look at the trees skated to come down. Looking forward to the GTG.
Nasty punky cliffhanger twofer I felled hanging on with my knee and shoulder. I don't climb per se, but I'm half monkey. Face cut was tricky not being able to see it while cutting. 20" 2156 was just enough to reach thru. They ended up about 15-20' down.

Trying for more hinge time on a couple at the end of the day, "just real quick"...sling chain, burr it all up...find another saw...
...but the european trench cut in the face and high back cut made for lots of hinge time.
