Or the disappointment of having a long term customer, that you done plenty of work for, suddenly shop for other bids on a new job. They have the right to check other companies out, just frustrating to see.

Frustrating for us in the old days. Nowadays we tell those folks to lose our number.

We don't (rarely), do residential. We get RFP's and put a number to it. We also not advertise, we market. We set us apart from hack's.

Sometimes its better to keep some info in your pocket. Simple little things that you do, that set u apart, are tid bits that you don't want ur comp to do or know. Lots of lurkers here. Ya don't want to train your competition.

You can always use ArboStar. I love that it handles scheduling, integrates with QuickBooks, and is available to estimators out in the field, and generally makes it very easy for us to stay on top of each stage of a job and each interaction with our customers. The reporting functions of the software are fantastic! It's very helpful to know the dollar amounts of scheduled work. Creating estimates is very easy and smooth.
