Hey gang....just picked up a non running Husky 61 this morning for short money. I dumped out the smelly brown fuel when I got home, filled the tank with fresh mix and oil, and she fired right up, and after a few minutes of running smoothed out nicely. She's a 1984 white top Rancher and looks all original. I'd forgotten how hard this series is to pull over! She came with a Windsor bar in OK shape, and a brand new chain. It feels a bit heavy after getting used to my 350's......can't wait to put her into wood and compare her to my "old Faithful" 83 266.

Looks good. I still love my anniversary edition. Yes, they are a bit heavy, but they are hard to kill. Not sure why I run my 257 when I have this one available, resting in a case.

I'm not sure why I needed this....I've got a pristine 266, two 262's a 359, a 365 ( soon to become a 372 I hope) a 55 Rancher, a 51 ( with 55 top end), a 350 with 346 top end, a 350 with 353 popup, and a stock 350. Lately I'm been reaching for the 350's as it is hard to beat the power to weight ratio, especially on the modded ones. Anywho...will be fun to try this one out.

I did make one huge mistake. I sold my 51 that like yours has a 55 top end. That made it the same power as my 257, and it easily pulled a 20" bar after the upgrade. So, I had three Husky saws with the same power, and I suppose that's why I unloaded the 51. I could have used it yesterday. It cold started much easier than my 257.
