We recently noticed this black growth with an orangish center growing at the base of our tree. My MIL says the tree is some sort of eucalyptus. We don’t smell any odors or notice anything different with the leaves it’s just the mark at the bottom that is concerning and it’s on two of the trunks. Trying to figure out what it is and if we can save the tree.
