Hi, about 15 years ago a Silver Maple just to the side of my home on County's right of way broke (see photos). A jagged stub was left after they cleaned up. My thought is that due to the location of the stub, just above crotch, RH fork, and subsequent growth, the tree is compromised and in danger of breaking at that location. I had the county visit and all they would do is trim branches above wires. I've asked for a second visit and an arborist is supposed to come. Does the tree appear dangerously weakened? Do you know what recourse I may have if county says no?
