Stihl 028 AV Part Identification

Hello all.

I have looked at many different part diagrams and have not been able to come up with a part number for this piece that is broken inside the Stihl 028 AV I am currently working on. Any help you can give is appreciated. Click on the right arrow to scroll through the 4 images.

I looked and didn’t see anything in my books but I also don’t remember that part when I was changing out my sprocket and was cleaning and greasing parts I’m curious too know what it is

It is not included in my ipl number dated 1982-12.
Can you braze it back together?

it looks like it is part of the quick stop mechansim. Maybe transition moded from av to avq. My early 028av saw does not have a chain brake only forward handguard. The aveq has a break.
