Hello,
Apologies if this has been asked before, I didn't quite see the response I am looking for.

I mostly use the saw on spruce/pine here in the PNW. From past discussions, I see that a 16" bar/chain is the sweet spot for the 028AV Super. However, I am open to suggestions.

I would like to swap my 20" 3/8 .050 72 to the 16". My questions are:

1. Is it just a straight swap over or do I need to change the sprocket as well?
2. Would the new 16" chain be a 3/8 .050 60?
3. If handy, P/Ns for the 16" bar, chain, and sprocket (if needed).

Thanks

If you are staying 3/8, no sprocket changes are required. 60dl is correct for a 16" chain.
I don't know the 028 too well, but it may be happier with .325.
028 is a 50cc saw and would be happier with .325 on a 20" bar. It should do 3/8" on a 16".
