Hey everyone

Trying to figure out if my Stihl 029 from 1995, is missing the cover washer that sits on the oil pump, and heat deflector behind the muffler.
Or if my 029 is just an old version, born without those two things.

Thanks to this sites awesome members, I have the IPL, but it shows cover washer and deflector, as put onto all versions.
This can't be right, since...fitting the e-clip on the washer/clutch drum, is already extremely tight, even without the washer cover installed on the oil pump.

Any input?

The cover washer behind the clutch came later in 2000. That`s why your saw does not have it from the factory. The gasket (1127 149 0601) between cylinder and exhaust gasket is only used on the 039 (EPA version), that`s why your 029 does not have it either.
Don't know what I would do without this site!

Thanks a ton for that short and clear answer! :numberone:
