Hello everyone is new to the forum and I do not know English well, I wanted to ask if someone has already modified a stihl 440/460 with cylinder 660. thanks to those who help me

Bon giorno Pisano.

See if you can use google to translate text. My Italian is terrible and I only speak a bit of Napolitano dialect, and mostly the words my grandmother yelled at me.

I’m gonna try it myself, but it can’t be on a 440/044. It will have to be on a 460, as a 440 has too weak a crankshaft and not enough space between the bulkheads to support a 54mm Cylinder. The piston weight and engine balance will be an issue with the 044 crank as well.

I’m not sure on the weight difference on a 460 vs an 064 though. All the extra work may be for nothing.

You can try an 046 52mm cylinder on your 044.

Look up “Outdoor Power Equipment” and find their Forum. Type in “Hybrid Time” in the search and you will find my current thread on building 044 hybrids.
