Of course it is, it’s orange and white!I’ll be curious to see if it’s worth $250more than a 562 or $65more than a 572. I know prices vary but that’s about what you can get them for. Difference is after 7% tax.
Exactly! It is nothing but a big bore 362. Only weighs a 1/2 lb less than a 462 and makes 0.6 hp less. Stick with the 462.....well I am anyway lol400 will be a tweaner saw at 67cc, it would have to be considerably cheaper then a 462 for most to consider one.
I paid $1050 for my 462. Thanks for that picture, I hadn't seen it yet. Here’s the release. I saved it when I stumbled upon it.
The MS400 has the same level of vibration as the MS261 and revs quicker than the MS462 with that extremely light magnesium piston. It will also have more compact dimensions and feel than the MS462 due to size and weight. I'd rather have a MS400 for a one saw plan if I was working with smaller trees and doing limbing for hours.Exactly! It is nothing but a big bore 362. That pho? Mine was just under $1200 with 28” es light, 2x chain, bar oil, & mix oil. Thought I did pretty well.I paid $1050 for my 462. Thanks for that picture, I hadn't seen it yet.
The 400 is built on the 362 case. That's why I said it is literally, a big bore 362. Same everything except the bore size and piston. Its a neat saw, and if I didn't have a 60cc saw, I'd get it for the extra $100 over a 362. If the right deal pops up,, I'll get the 400 instead of a 362.The MS400 has the same level of vibration as the MS261 and revs quicker than the MS462 with that extremely light magnesium piston. On smaller wood I don't see any evidence that the MS462 will have a speed advantage over the MS400. The MS400 will turn 14,000 rpm and it's no joke for the size. There's videos out of Europe comparing them and the 400 does a great job for the size and intended application.
No, that included a 20" ES. It was $1233 out the door, and that included 1 gallon of bar oil, a quart of Motomix and a 20" ES Light. I'm sending you a copy of my receipt. I added a Bark Box and the WCS air filter kit to the 462. After a reset, it made a easily noticeable difference. Love this saw. That pho? And yes after all my hype for the 400, I wasn’t waiting and had a bunch of wood to cut. so the 462 fit the bill and I got the last one on the shelf. I’ve put about 15 tanks through and 8 cord on pallets. Wouldn’t trade it for anything. However, once I build by saw $ stash back up I’m going to buy a 400 when I see it. Slap an 18” or 20” on it for limbing and just have both.
On small wood, chain speed is what makes the difference. I'd say the 400 will run a 8T sprocket and 20" 3/8 just fine, and that will be moving. I understand your reasons for wanting it. I've got a friend in Europe who is going to take pics with her 362, 400, and 462 together. The MS400 has the same level of vibration as the MS261 and revs quicker than the MS462 with that extremely light magnesium piston. Maybe that’s why the guy at work doesn’t like cutting with his 360 for a long period of time lol. I’ve never ran one, love my 462.Maybe I've just become bias, but my 462 handles better than my MS360, and they weigh about the same. Power difference is astronomical. I absolutely love my 462.

572 is $1200 here. The 400 is $800ishI’ll be curious to see if it’s worth $250more than a 562 or $65more than a 572. I know prices vary but that’s about what you can get them for. Difference is after 7% tax.
I may be contacting you. If I don't find a 362 to add to my M-Tronic set, I may get a 562XP instead.Yikes I can get you a pho 572 for 8 shipped. 24” b/c add around 50-60.
between the 362 and 562 I’d definitely go 562 however I can’t say that vs a 400 as Ive never ran a 400 yet.I may be contacting you. If I don't find a 362 to add to my M-Tronic set, I may get a 562XP instead.
There b a for a 60cc saw. The 562 that isI feel like the 562 is a bit more grunt than the 400. Both saws brand new.
