Stihl price on Ebay way beyond retail ... why?

Answer, It has been many years since Ebay had an insertion fee, or one of any significance. There is really no cost to the seller to make listings that a potential buyer could get through normal channels the manufacturer has. Perhaps Stihl gets this more so as there isn't a way to pull up parts sheets and check pricing at a place like Jacks small engines or echopartsonline.

I recently noticed on listings like 10 available 300 sold they took away the link that would be on the 300 sold that showed the time frame and price.

Like mentioned above Ebay user can stack the list in their search by price or some other choices and also go to completed items.

Might also wonder if a non paying buyer's transaction or lack there of shows up as a sale to a third party just wandering on the site.

From the buyers side Ebay seller is supposed to actually have the item and provide a delivery date range. Go to the dealership for this type of stuff and the employee or owner may be on the phone with their burglar alarm company, Placing an advertisement via the phone, or dealing with another customer and then have to order the thing in once it is your turn.
