Like the title says- is there such a thing as a school, "camp", or training opportunity, to learn the fundamentals of tree work? TYIA

Or perhaps a certificate type program at a technical college?

Heck, at least a few of you have the skills AND teaching ability to develop and offer such tree work curriculum!

I know that a local community college in my area has apprenticeship classes. I think they take a year or two to complete and the intention is that you work while taking classes.

I would recommend looking at your local community college's web site to see if they offer anything similar.

The state of WI has an apprenticeship program for arborists. Also, several of the regional technical colleges in WI have arboriculture programs. You could check to see if FL has any such programs. Otherwise there are 4 year degree options in forestry down there.
