Torque Spec?

I’m working on a 1998 Craftsman chainsaw, model 358.352162 36cc. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to cylinder bolts torque spec? I’ve looked and can’t find a service manual - only owner’s manual. I just begged for a service manual, although I suspect none are available.

I would say as tight as you feel comfortable tightening them. You might find a manual for the poulan labeled one.

Common muffler & clamshell bolt #530016132 is a M6x1.0, so max at 96 in-lb or 8 ft-lb going into aluminum. Assuming they’re 8.8 grade or better strength bolts, but you can’t ever trust CaronaChina made fasteners or hole threads.

If they’re marked 10.9 grade, you can go up to 120 in-lb.
