Tree identification help!

I have the opportunity to mill this. Would really like to know the species. It was cut from a front yard close to the street in a 1960s community. Located in Baltimore Maryland. It has been down for about a year

Your Latin is impeccable........... Good stuff. May actually try to learn the scientific names of the local trees. Getting into milling has been teaching me on such a massive scale. So much to learn!

Thank you good sir! I still say the Latin names daily. I guess it's the price to pay after studying forestry for two years
