Veneer Timber Buyer?

Random question - Does anyone know of a good buyer of veneer logs in the north/central MA area? I'll be taking down a couple beautiful specimens of red oak, and I hate to mill it into generic 8 or 10ft 1x boards.

Its gonna be tough to find anybody to pick up just a few logs, no matter how good they are. I used to sell to John Wearstler when he worked for Columbia forest products. Very good guy. He works for B+B now as their Ma and Ct buyer. 413-446-1398.

Jhenderson, I suppose you are right. Quantity (or lack thereof) would probably be an issue. Thanks for the reference regardless, tho!
