So, first off…

Can someone fill me in on what a period correct bar would be for a Stihl 020AV (with hand guard but no chain brake, full grill over muffler- so mid to mid-late production it seems), and an 020AV Super (with chain brake)?

I am for sure getting the 020AV restored to a near new condition (it’s in awesome shape as is- lucky marketplace find), so I’d really like to have a 14-16” vintage bar on it. But I’m really not sure what to be looking for. Seems like Duramatic bars were common then? I really don’t know. I just remember the bar on my father’s old 020AV has a tip grease hole in it- that seems to have been absent from Stihl bars for a LONG time now. PN, description, photos… I’ll take anything that might help me out.

Also, the current rollomaticE bars- would this be essentially the same bar an 026 Pro would have came with in 1997-1998 time frame? Or were they different- maybe just Rollomatic, without the “E”? I’ve got my father’s 026 from one of that 97/98 time frame that I’m also restoring to as new condition. Want to make sure the bar looks proper.

Any help I can get on what to look for on these bars would be highly appreciated.

Now, onto the more interesting vintage bar stuff…

Made in Canada, Stihl Speed Tip stainless steel bar, 12” (appears to be for 1/4” chain). I’ve search and found nothing. I snagged this off Facebook marketplace, thinking it might be the right bar for the 020- it was with another vintage bar, a 16” duromatic, and a tool box of random bits. Seller seemed to know absolutely nothing about what they were selling and I had a buddy pick it up for me. Didn’t realize the bar was only 12”.

Anyway, anyone have any idea what this made in Canada bar is all about? I’ve searched a fair bit, and found nothing on them. Not sure if I should keep them, or sell them. Photos of the bars below…
