I bought splitter from Lowes 20 years ago, 27 ton it says. I fabricated A table for it. Just got to checking out splitters on the net and the Wallenstein caught my eye with the log lift and the higher working stance.
I see A splitter made by Split Fire that looks good also. Splits both ways and also has A log lift.
Sure is A far cry from the way I started gathering firewood 50 plus years ago. When I went from A ax to A splitting maul was a improvement.
