Discovered they are using a Vanguard instead of A Honda, some say better better. I've read Toyota has their hand in development of the Van.

All I know is I blew up a almost new Honda motor and the dealer refused to warrant it. Tossed a rod through the block casting. Had plenty of oil and only had maybe 3 hours on it. I replaced it with an HF Pred motor 4 years ago, still fine. No more Honda's for me.

I bought splitter from Lowes 20 years ago, 27 ton it says. I fabricated A table for it. Just got to checking out splitters on the net and the Wallenstein caught my eye with the log lift and the higher working stance.
I see A splitter made by Split Fire that looks good also. Splits both ways and also has A log lift.
Sure is A far cry from the way I started gathering firewood 50 plus years ago. When I went from A ax to A splitting maul was a improvement.
