I got a 3.3L cummins diesel BC1000 wood chipper that has a slight oil leak. Does anyone know what kind of oil it takes?

The valvoline diesel oil is the factory Cummins oil iirc. No clue on that particular motor but if it’s got emissions on it you probably want full synthetic.

The Vermeer Maintenance Manual refers you to the engine manual that was supplied with the chipper. Probably because not all chippers were supplied with the same engine.

You can try searching the Cummins site... https://quickserve.cummins.com/info/qsol/products/summary.html
But any quality diesel engine oil (for the temperature range you will be operating in) will work.

BTW the 3.3L Cummins engine is actually built by Komatsu Japan.
