winched some oak sticks today

Got a call from a local arborist, he wanted to know if I was interested in some oak logs. Some are 16" or so diameter, might be good for the saw mill. So we packed up and headed over. Nice spot on the water but the logs were way down in the field.

No way the Sterling would come up out of that so we got out the winch.

I was on winch duty and Gina was choking the logs.


We also picked up a couple acorns, they were on the ground everywhere.

Now to figure out what to do with them to prep them for planting.
Suggestions?
